Let Me Explain: Holiday Light Safety

1. WRITE + EDIT SCRIPT

​

  • Make it conversational

  • Include only relevant info

  • Keep it concise

2. PLUG IT INTO DALET

​

  • See how long it is when added

  • Keep the total around 1:30s

  • If it runs long, cut the script – or if every line is necessary then keep how it is and update music track in post-production 

  • 2 minutes maximum

3. FIND TALENT + RECORD

​

  • Find available talent

  • Check with studio director to see if they have time to record LME that day

  • Oversee production in control room

  • Take 3 shots – LS, RS, Center

4. CUT FINAL VIDEO (PREMIERE PRO)

​

  • Pull file footage to use from network database

  • Cut talent track (3 shots)

  • Brainstorm and apply graphics to keep the video interactive

  • Manually input NBC4 bugs + banners

  • Master audio levels 

5. WATCH + DISTRIBUTE

​

  • Double check final video and make any last tweaks and improvements

  • Distribute across FAST channels

  • Work with nightside producers to stack it into upcoming live shows
